Areas of Blackthorn bark still visible for contrast and style.

Blackthorn is a hard and rustic wood and these tippers reflect the naturally occuring markings of the blackthorn (smooth of course for your Bodhran)

Just wanted to say this tipper has exceeded my expectations. It arrived this morning and to see each dowel shaped to fit perfectly together was a fantastic surprise. I had purchased something similar for much less and have been very disappointed. Oh it plays amazing too. Thank you. Clive

I'm a beginning bodhran player teaching myself via YouTube and have little knowledge of what a tipper is "supposed" to be. I do know that I prefer this one to the traditional style one (solid with bulbous ends) that came with my bodhran. This tipper seems to give me more control. I can play faster, more dynamically, and more quietly. It is built solidly. After a couple of weeks of playing with it most days nothing has broken off or come loose. This tipper is definitely a quality product.
